Fire Operations
Vision: Unify and enhance county-wide training that improves operational consistency, implement the industry’s best practices, and create a shared culture of excellence.
The KFTC provides Fire Operations Training to our members, using a consistent training curriculum, developed, and delivered to enhance and streamline mutual aid operations. Fire Ops training will include the following areas:

Block Training – Quarterly Multi-Company Operations/Live Fire Training

Crawl-walk-run approach

Aligned with ICS continuing training topics

Firefighter Fundamentals Manual and Quarterly Training

Created and revised through quarterly meetings with subject matter experts from each department to ensure safety and uniformity in how we talk, how we train, and how we work.

Specialized Training – Providing admin/technology for tracking skills maintenance, deliver Awareness/Operations level refresher training to the rank and file, support drills with facilitation, planning, resource acquisition, other logistics, and eventually host classes. Specialized training includes:​
